Oathday 4 Lamashan, 4707
The sanatorium was looted for supplies, including surgical implements and tomes about necromancy. Grayst, who is stricken with ghoul fever, was brought back to Sandpoint to be treated by Father Zantus. He is currently bedridden from the ordeal. The party asked around town as to the meaning of the “Misgivings”. They learned that it referred to a decrepit old manor to the southwest that belongs to the Foxglove family. It is said to be cursed and people tend to keep their distance from it. Rumor is that horrible tragedies befall its inhabitants.
The group headed north to the Nettlewood where Chris was left to lead the goblins. The goblins have (mostly) refrained from attacking the longshanks in their absence. With the power of suggestion Pyresmoke and Yasuhdo managed to convince the goblins that they had been blessed in such way that they would be able to read words without being harmed. They will pretend to read and understand writing until properly taught.
Fireday 5 Lamashan, 4707
After meeting with the goblins the group traveled south around the Devil’s Platter and across the farmlands. While marching they noticed that a nearby scarecrow was moving on its own. Upon closer examination they discovered that it was a man strung up who was suffering from ghoul fever. Searching for an explanation the group moved toward the nearby farmhouse. On the way more scarecrows were found, but these were fully turned ghouls. Ghouls ambushed the party from the tall fields of corn. After fighting off the ghouls they discovered another murder victim with the sihedron rune carved into their chest. Pinned to the corpse was another note addressed to Yasuhdo.
After a long day of travel the party arrived at the Foxglove Manor. The key they found at the farmhouse earlier unlocked the front door. The group began to explore the manor only to find strange and disturbing occurrences. The stuffed manticore burst into fire and attacked Pyresmoke. Gladreich was filled with strange memories and was compelled to lead Ragnar out of the manor. Ragnar was almost compelled to suicide. A revenant of a woman believed to of been murdered in the manor was found behind a locked door of the attic. She was destroyed with a burst of positive energy.
