Session 6 - 07/01/2017

Fireday 28 Rova, 4707

Players:
Yasuhdo – Andrew
Gladreich – Matt
Thaddeus – Alex
Ragnar – Sean

The adventurers continued their search through the second level of the stronghold. They found what appeared by be a goblin nursery, its walls lined with wooden cages filled with baby goblins. Despite disagreements in the party, Thaddeus took a torch to the goblin young and burnt them alive. The sound and stench of burning goblin drew the attention of a mercenary working for the aasimar. He seemed off put by the cult he worked for and agreed to leave for the payment of 20 platinum coins. The party, true to their word, allowed him safe passage away from the stronghold.

The large stone door, carved with depraved imagery of monsters clawing their way out of pregnant women, was finally opened. Within it was an obsidian alter with burnt remains upon on. Before the group could investigate it further yeth hounds descended on them from above. After a hard fought battle the beasts were finally put down but the monsters left Gladreich badly wounded. The ashes on the alter were identified as the remains of Ezakien Tobyn who’s tomb was broken into on the day of the goblin attack. A statue holding a kukri in each hand was also found in the room. The weapons were taken and found to be enchanted.

After regaining their composure the group pressed deeper into the stronghold. After narrowly avoiding a deadly trapped hallway the party came face to face with the aasimar and her mage companion. Wearing black armor, wielding a demonic arm, and bearing the mark of Lamashtu she attacked with unholy fury. After delivering near fatal blows to Thaddeus and Ragnar she was finally taken down by Shalelu’s arrow. Exhausted and injured the group retreated to safety, barricading the doors and finally getting some much earned rest.
